The government of the Republic of Georgia has doubled the budget for its pre-school education, including restoration of vacant buildings and construction of new kindergarten facilities. They joined CHC educators to learn best international practices for early childhood education.
Workshops presented key Human Rights documents and were followed by discussions designed to help students prepare for participating in the February, 2017 Student Leadership Conference on Development. Adults’ workshops focused on the design of informed action projects. These were augmented by visits to several local schools, where discussions with administrative staff and visits to classrooms had been arranged. Tours of nearby historic sites and a day trip to Washington, D.C. were scheduled, and members of the group requested a visit to the King of Prussia Mall.
